A very primitive but full of flora and the special atraccion of the lemurs. The dancing groups are a plus to frame the amviant on this unique place. On the negative side the contact less entrepreneur spirit of the local population is overwhelmingly sat.

Nice place, only half an hour away from Fort Dauphin (7km, but verry but bumpy). Plenty of lemurs (Ring tailed, Bamboo, Shifaka, Brown and two night active, I got to see them all :) ) They only have four rooms so you might want to book ahead during high season. During low season I just dropped in and I was the only one staying over night. The lady camp manager lives in the restaurant building, super friendly and helpful and together with the cook she provided me with a good dinner and breakfast. Room is large and clean with a private bathroom and mosquito net over the bed. There are no power outlets in the room but there are outside in the shared patio. My guide was ok, we found what we should + a few bonuses (big fat boa during the night walk) but he did let me know how important it is to tip a few times, and he did ditch me as soon as he could, especially when there was a larger group (more tip?....)... There are a few things that takes away from the experience, the park is small, you hear "the world" around it and a lot of the vegitation does belong in South America / Asia and has been brought to the park because they look good / provides food for the lemurs or keeps insects away... I did both Nahampoana and Berenty, they both provide a similar experience. I'm glad I did both.

7 km from Fort Dauphin, this is one of Madagascar’s animal sanctuaries. There are resort hotels, wilderness restaurants, billiards room, is an ideal place to rest. The reserve is a concentrated area of endemic plants, coexisting with magnificent bamboo forests. It is also a precious animal in the country-a variety of lemur appreciation sites, including five species of lemurs including Bamboo Hapalemur, as well as crocodiles and turtles. Walking in the shade of various dense trees, refreshing and refreshing.
