What is the most important function of a hotel? A place for a good night sleep! I stayed here at a Saturday at first floor facing the street. Just opposite the street was a bar and dancing club. The loud music and noise from the disco bar just pierced through the window of our room started from 9pm. I need to catch a plane at 9:30 the other morning and I went to bed early. I could not fall asleep because of the loud music and the noise made by the people dancing. I worn an ear plug and put my head under the bed sheet but could still hear the noise clearly. I hoped that the music would stop after midnight but I was totally wrong. The noise got louder and I complained to the hotel reception. They just could not help. The noise stopped at last at 5 am when the bar and disco closed. I just could not sleep the whole night. What a terrible experience! The hotel must certainly knew that the first floor facing the street would suffer from the noise of the disco bar but they still gave the room to guest. The room at least should do some sound insulation works. Besides, the water from the shower was just mildly warm (just better than cold water) when I had shower. From the guide book, it says that this hotel is a luxuary hotel in the city. I think it is much below par. It was the worst hotel during my stay in Madagascar.
