Floraly Komba - Madagascar

Picture perfect for sunrises & sunsets. Staff was so welcoming and helpful. They arranged reasonably priced trips for us to other islands. Lovely family bungalow with 2 rooms right on the beach. 30 min boat ride from Nosy Be—well worth it! (Yes these are the views from your room.)

Nice place to stay on Nosy Komba. Good rooms, nice staff and several opportunities for activities. Breakfast is also nice with fresh seasonal fruit salad and juice.

Amazing, cheap resort right across from the national park.

Had a good but not great stay at Floraly Komba. Our trip was abruptly ended a day early when the owner told us our reservation was only up to that day, yet we reserved for one day more than he had written down, so we were kicked out adding undue stress. So verify your reservation when you are received at the front desk. As for the experience, the daily price of the room is hard to beat, considering it is surrounded by resorts and hotels that are 3-4X's the cost. But with this low price there are downsides. First, there is no hot water, if you want hot water, you have to ask for it, and only at night. It will be brought to your room in a tub and you use a cup to pour the water over yourself. Second, the food is expensive. Breakfast cost more than dinner and is only bread and fruit. I would consider eating at the local village if you are really trying to save money. Third, credit card (any cards) is not accepted here, so be prepared to bring alot of cash, either local currency or euros.
