If this is the best in Antsirabe, then "oops". Very salty pastries. Slow service. On the expensive side (same price as 4-star hotel Colbert. Nice seating area. Good location in centre of town centre.

Seems to the only upscale bakery in the area. However I found the staff here to be rather arrogant and not what you would expect when this is considered a luxurious and upscale place (relative to the society) and a much better service is expected. From price point, indeed it is much higher compared to what you get from a local bakery - however from quality point of view, it is just slightly better but for other items, such as a bottled drinks, they do charge a premium for it - was shocked that I had to pay 4300 Ay for a bottle of beer when even at the restaurants which caters for tourist (and hotels) charges less than that. What I really do not understand is when I took a photo of some of the items, I was told that it was not allowed. This is very strange to me as it is just a bakery not some government office or military office. If they are afraid that people will copy their not so special cakes or pastries, than my advise to them is please - there is NOTHING special about it (maybe except for the luxurious price being charged). Quality of the sweet cakes/tarts - ok - especially in a country where limited quality goods are available, as for the savory pastries - on the dissappointing side especially for the prices charged. It was more dough than filling.

Great food in a country where it is hard to find

Nice croissants and other viennoiseries, good coffee and the tuna sandwich (to go) is a good choice for a picknick lunch.
