Tsaraventura Madagascar tour operator

I booked a river trip and tzingy trip with tzarventora, the price was very reasonable and they where very reasponsive on the mail, and they helped us to build an itinerary that fits our need and time table. We paid in advance 30% with bank transfer and the rest with cash on arrival. When we got to the airport they where waiting for us, we got a guid,Erik, and a Driver, Tuzu, with a very comfortable 4x4 car for the whole trip, they where very helpful, and on the first day after bringing us to the hotel they went and changed some money, and bought me a Sim card for my phone. We drove for a day to the start of the river, where we stopped at some villages to interact with the locals. For the river part we got another guide, and two cooks/boutman that where joining us to the river trip. The river trip was fun, the food and logistics where great and well organized, but it has a few issues: 1.be prepared- two and a half days on a canno it's a LOT of time. We had some villages and interest point on the way but still. 2. On the first day the wind was against us, we didn't start on time and we had to sail in the dark, with high waves on a small canno, which wasn't a nice experience. The camping area for the first night is fixed because is is an army secured location - make sure you start the day very early and don't take to many breaks. IMHO the guides should make sure this kind of think will not happen. 3. It can be VERY hot on the canno. Although I put a lot of sunscreen, on the first day my back and shoulders where burned, so we improvised some sort of canno shade from bamboo sticks and a blanket, it might help to prepare in advance for that situation We got to Bokopaca (Tzingi area) at noon but started the tour only the day after - maybe we could have plan this better. The Tzingi is amazing but that is a different review :) the guide upgrade our hotel to a very nice hotel in Bokopaca and it was great. After we got to morandava we decided to stay with the Tuzo the driver for the rest of the trip, so we contact the office and he helped us to plan and book guides and hotel for the rest of our stay. We had to cancel the last two days because my wife wasn't feeling well, and we got back the money for thous days.
