Amazing service!! Everyone is super friendly & respectful. Our room is clean, smells fresh & has comfy bed. Spacious bathroom with no mosquito which is rare. Great breakfast selection. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed at the hotel twice - a week while we visited Yangon , then came back for a one night stay. The first stay was all right. There were a number of issues -  the location, the small rooms, no working safes in the room or a safety deposit box  service and an extremely foul odour coming from the pipes. But, all in all, we enjoyed that week. The staff were friendly, the rooms clean and the breakfast buffet was really good. Unfortunately,  that positive impression was ruined when we came for one more night at the end of our trip. I was travelling with my son who became quite ill. Our flight was at 945pm the evening of our check out date. Knowing the hotel was at very low occupancy -  it was clear there were few guests and when I looked online there were several rooms listed as available that date - I  asked if we could pay for a late check out. No, came the answer. Check out is noon. Went through 3 staff and all had the same answer. I explained I had an ill child, that I hoped to allow him to sleep some more before our flight, stated I wished to pay for the room, even mentioned the fact that the hotel was at low occupancy -  all to no avail. Check out is noon. That's the rules. So we checked out at noon, and I took my son to the mall and we hung out in the food court. Not a bad day, but it would have been a lot better for him if he could have stayed in bed. When we back to the hotel to pick up our luggage, I made a point of asking the reception how many guests they had. " very few,  very little, " came the answer. Uh huh. This was such poor service, so inconsiderate. And it mystifies me. Many hotels offer late check out. We were not asking for a freebie: I expected to pay. I wanted to give my son the opportunity to sleep in and recover but due to the hotel's unwillingness to accommodate our request, for no rationale reason, we were unable. :) There are no shortages of hotels in Yangon. This one has demonstrated they are more concerned with following arbitrary rules then they are with assisting their customers. I'll be giving them a wide berth on future trips.

Our stay at the Crystal Palace exceeded our expectations. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful in helping us to get a bus ticket and taxi to the bus terminal. The room was very clean and beds were comfy. Breakfast was AMAZING- great assortment of foods and beverages. Would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Yangon.

The service and assistance is really good, very nice and very helpful, including their security team at the entrance. Breakfast buffet is ok, but not impressive. Rooms are big, albeit a little old. Room's bathrooms are quite old. Location is acceptable for the Shwedagon Paya, but very far from city centre. The neighborhood is not welcoming for a walk and does not have high quality restaurants. If you are going to stay in the Crystal Palace Hotel, you will almost always need a taxi (very cheap in Yangon).
