The population there so nice and friendly. You can know their culture. It’s so very nice country. Myanmar 🇲🇲

The pagoda is beautiful, unfortunately pictures do it just as much justice as in person. You will be cornered with young girls offering to hold an umbrella, hold your shoes, or sell you a bird for a small fee. Worth the visit if you are there but not worth going out of your way for.

A good monument with plenty of peripheral attractions. A much smaller copy of Yangon's famous Shwedagon Pagoda. It's at the top of a hill with good views of Tachileik and across to Thailand. It's in the centre of a very spacious area, around which are various shops and alternative attractions. Quite clean now (you have to remove shoes in this area) and the area seems clear of drug addicts which were a problem in the past. Many vendors will accost you though. Best attraction when in Tachileik.
