Built in 1521 by King Thazzata and enlarged by King Razagyi to house a tooth relic of the Buddha he brought back from Sri Lanka around 1600. Octagonal main shrine , surrounded by gaint stupas.

The Buddha's shrine It is located next to the Shwedagon Pagoda. This pagoda was built by King Min Hla Raza Saw Mon in 1521 AD. It is said that it was rebuilt by King Minbargyi in 1531 AD. Historically, it is also known as Antaw Thein because it is dedicated to the Buddha's tooth, which was brought from the underworld.

Although it was under construction during the visit, I was able to allow it to enter, but it was small and delicate and beautifully decorated. In Mrauk U, you can see many animals such as horses, cattle, and goats. It was fun to see the goats resting on the top of this tower.
