Amata Garden Resort, Bagan

The room was very clean, the food was good, the pool was lovely, the massages were great, and everyone was very nice and welcoming. But the highlight of the hotel was definitely the manager. We had a very unfortunate incident outside of the hotel and informed the staff when we returned that night. We got a call to our room not long after saying that the manager would like to speak with us. She was very understanding and helped us resolve the issue from beginning to end. Honestly, it really wasn't her responsibility and we wouldn't blame her if she didn't help us at all. She went above and beyond to help us and make sure that we would have a pleasant stay. She event arranged a little birthday surprise in our room for me as it was my birthday the next day. My husband and I were beyond touched that they would care this much and we would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Bagan.

Great stay. The staff were so kind. Really made it special. It was our honeymoon and we returned from a wonderful day of exploring to find the most beautiful hand made cake. Thank you!!!

Dirty and not well kept, stains on carpet and all over the bathroom walls. Stained toilets as well as hair noticeable all over. Landscaping was not clean as well. Food was not good both the buffet breakfast as well as the ala carte dinner. Only saving grace was the manager and staff was accommodating and tried to help but to no avail.

Went here for some night snacks and drinks in the lovely atmosphere of this resort. The snacks were delicious and the staff is very professional, attentive and friendly. Especially the owner is very friendly, helpful and hospitable. I regret we never tried any of their main dishes but when I come back to Bagan that’s on my bucket list. Can definitely recommend.

Being in Bagan, the resort is correctly rated as 4-star. The resort is luscious green and is newly built. It was inaugrated on November 2017. It has facilities including restaurant, swimming pool, gym, massage and spa. The bed is really comfortable and room space is enough. The resort majorly have twin bed rooms and very few double bed rooms. The location is perfect and is in New Bagan. There is sunset and sunrise view point as well however the view is not good from that point. The breakfast buffet is really nice. Being vegetarian we specifically asked chef to make some additional dishes in morning which they agreed and served to us separately.
