Great value for the chicken noodle with soup. It costs K2835, you can find cheaper elsewhere -for K1400-, but the chicken portion at YKKO is usually larger. Service is good. Cooking process is rather quick. It's a bit expensive perhaps, but the quality and hygiene is there and quite consistent. Other dishes are outrageously expensive. I was advised by locals to avoid it for being overpriced, as they do, since many have never eaten here. A local suggested me to try a more inexpensive alternative for chicken noodles, in a small family restaurant located on Strand Road, right next to 'Mingalar Bayint Cinema'; between the Cinema and 'Bone Gyi' restaurant. Presently appears on the map as 'Chicken Noodle Restaurant'. It's right across the street where a larger restaurant facing the river, painted in yellow. About 30 minutes walk from YKKO/Ocean.

One of the first and best restos in Myanmar with local fare. Clean. Prepare your sauce with your spicy preference.

Good Noodle and Good vermicelli. One can taste toasted okras, ladyfinger, and toasted mushroom, which are very good for vegetarians. The place is nice and silent, romantic although quite narrow. The staff are polite but still rare dishes for vegans.
