It is very popular with locals selling breakfast. They are specialised in Mohinga, noodles in fish broth. They apparently are some of the best you can get in Yangon. Catering to a working class clientele means that this shops opens very very early. At 9 they would be already selling it and closing the shop! In this case the alternative will be to go to the lucky 7 restaurant nearby which is open all day.

Terrific mohinga & welcoming atmosphere. As Americans visiting Yangon, my wife and I fell in love with mohinga for breakfast. We had heard about how great the mohinga at this place was, but were a little concerned to try it because we spoke no Burmese. No problem. The owner welcomed us forward then helped us navigate through the process of customizing our bowls of mohinga and taking our seats at tables that are in front of the store. He even moved a table out of the sun for us. Then he kept an eye on me and when my bowl started getting low he came over and put more in. It was like we were old friends. Even though it was just a bowl of mohinga, our visit to this place was one of my favorite stops in Myanmar. If you visit Yangon and like mohinga you should go to this place.
