Saint Mary's Cathedral is a popular tourist destination for everyone visiting Yangon. St Mary’s Cathedral is renowned for its high standard of music and Choir. They are famous for their weekly celebrations of the Divine Office and Solemn Mass. You are more than welcome to join in at Mass and listen to them sing.

Cardinal Charles Maung Bo, Burma's Catholic Archbishop, sent an open letter to the military council on March 15 urging an immediate end to the brutal massacre. He also called for the release of all detainees and for abandoning the path of cruelty so as not to be considered an ignorant and depressing country.

This is one of the oldest and historic church of Myanmar. This is a must to visit for any tourist. Try to avoid sun heat afternoon time is better to visit.
