Nice place to learn but I would like to ask to increase the opportunities for entrances to Technical University. GTI students are deserved to go to COE University like YTU. Why don't we have a chance? Matriculation exam marks are nothing but GTI's grades are deserved to get a entrance to that university.I'm requesting kindly as a student to have the rights of students.

In 1898 the Government Engineering School was moved to the east of Insein Station, which was then called the Government School of Engineering. In 1908, it moved to its present location in Insein Village and was called the Government School of Engineering and Technical High School. Before the move, the Main Building was completed. From 1912 onward, it has been called the Government Technical Institute (GTI)
