Your home-away-from home! Shwe Kyaik Hto is located along the Mawlamyine Road in Kyaik Hto City in Mon State. The hotel is just before the junction that leads to Kyaik Hto Pagoda if you are coming from Yangon or any of the western cities in Myanmar. The place looks amazing as the rooms are pretty huge. I got a room with a nice queen-size bed. It has a separate area for the clothes cabinet and dresser and an en suite with its own bath tub. The shower area is separate from the bath tub, quite a good idea especially for someone like me who does not like to shower in the tub. The sink is also spacious for you to put in all that you need. Amenities of course are plenty, with shampoo, bath foam, shower cap, comb, dental kit and shaver. The room's window is covered by a translucent lace and a thick curtain, giving you the option of either letting natural light in during the day. The curtains are of good quality so it complements the grand look of the room. The linens and mattress are all quite good too, making it comfortable during your sleep. Towels are also nice, thick and very absorbent so you can quickly dry yourself. The fixtures, from the door handle, door knobs, faucet and shower are all made from high-quality materials. Hot water is available for your use when you bathe or in the shower. The room has cable TV, phone and fast internet wifi. The roof has its own refrigerator you can use, with refreshments you can have for an extra fee. There's complimentary bottled water and a coffee making set in case you want a cuppa. All-in-all, this hotel would not only be good for a one night stay when you're in Mon state, it can be your home away from home!
