Grassy park with the central white spire surrounded by several Lion statues. Inscriptions on the column base in Burmese. A board with info for tourists would make the visit better.

The Myanmar Independence Monument is located in the center of the Maha Bandula park in Yangon. This 165-foot obelisk inside the Garden is surrounded by two concentric circles of chinthe (divinity half lion and half dragon). It was erected in 1948 to replace a statue of Queen Victoria.
