It's a Hindu temple by Insein road. There are so many pigeons in front of temple. There were cows and goat at the back of the temple when I visited. A very big tree grown inside temple and it grows over a roof. It's interesting Hindu temple with many living things.

This Temple is older than 100 years. Festivals are held periodically in accordance with the Tamil Calender. The whole of the Tail Community assemble fir the festival. Colloquially we call it as Kamatur Festival. I have the experience of visiting this temple in 1950s as small boy till 1964. The temple is in renovated condition when I visited this Temple after a very long period of over 50 years.

Quiet place and compound is large enough to held seasonal festival. Some wedding ceremonies are take place in this Sri Mariamman Temple.
