The hike was really great! We saw some different amazing scenery. We stayed at a lovely home who served some of the best food i had. And the guide spoke excellent english. Also i felt really save. I guess there is some fake news around about fighting in the villages because i didn't feel or saw anything.

Very friendly staff and speak english very well. Know the region and the people and can show you a few things out of the tourist path. Would recommend!

Cannot recommend this trek or firefly enough! Had the most amazing 2D/3N trek through jungle, bamboo forests, waterfalls, corn fields, rice terraces, and hills - stayed in amazing homestays, ate beautiful local food and learnt an insane amount about the history and culture of Myanmar from our incredible guides Aka and Nono. Honestly - if you want a true Myanmar experience - do this. Mitch (owner) and his father couldn’t have done more for us - greeted us with cake and coffee both before and after the trek and helped us book our Mandalay—bagan boat trip! Thank you firefly for an amazing experience!

I very enjoyed three days trekking trip with guide Mike. The trip was amazing and even exceeded my high expectations. Highlights were the mountain views, flora, jungle, villages and last but not least very delicious local food. I definitely recommend booking a trekking trip with Firefly. Thanks for the hospitality and great experience!

My wife and I just finished a 3 day trek in the Shan hills - super awesome! We met a bunch of amazing people, saw stunning picturesque scenery and ate some of the best food we've had while being in Myanmar. To me, the hike itself was a 6/10 in difficulty. We walked between 15-20kms a day, with mixed terrain - some flat, some really steep, most of it rocky and uneven. The first night we stayed in a bamboo house overlooking a spectacular valley, million dollar view for sure! The second night we stayed in a half concrete, half timber house on top of a mountain. Each night we had a village family look after us, they were all super friendly, very welcoming and really good cooks! My favourite part of the trek was the second day, hiking down the mountain into a gorge through a heap of water crossings, to a waterfall tucked away in a valley. We then ate lunch next to the creek (which we also swam in before lunch), prepared by a local man right there - he was super friendly and really interesting to watch. It was unreal to see what he could make from his surroundings and what he gathered to cook with, best meal on the trip! My wife and I would really like to thank Mitch and the Firefly team for an amazing trek! I would 100% recommend Firefly to anyone looking to do a trek in Myanmar.
