Spend my wedding at Mar del Zur and was amazed by the nicest, most attentative staff. The food was brilliant and on point. Also the atmosphere was inviting yet elegant. An unforgettable memory. Thank you to Mar del Zur and especially Chio and Melesio.

Top restaurant in San Pedro and what a delight to have Thai fusion food. Everything was excellent and beautifully presented. They also had great knowledge of food allergies (gluten and dairy) and were able to cater dishes to my needs. For dessert, they brought me out a special dish of dairy free guava sorbet, without us even ordering it!

Monterrey sorely lacks a good Thai restaurant and after reading the reviews we thought we would at least try Mar del Zur. The restaurant decor is high end although we found the overall atmosphere to be a bit noisy. This could be overlooked if the food was good, but unfortunately the traditional Thai dishes that we tried, Tom Yung, Pad Thai, and Red Curry were all average to below average. The Tom Yung had large shrimp but a complete lack of vegetables, apart from a few mushrooms, no lemon grass, etc. It is one of the worst I have ever tasted. The Pad Thai was soupy and had way too much tamarind flavor. The Red Curry was ok but the jazmine rice was the most poorly prepared ever. It was as if they insisted it had the constituency of Mexican rice. Maybe we should have tried some of their mexthai fusion dishes but given the taste of the dishes we did try, I suspect they would not have been much better. On a positive note, we went on Valentine's day and they gifted desserts which were quite a bit better than the food, although not Thai in any way. If you are looking for Thai food, do not bother.
