Best Western Hotel Majestic

Not at best,but $70 a night can't go wrong. My room shower head isn't working properly,curtain to short and water everywhere after shower. Roof top 7th floor has a nice view of Zocalo Plaza,attentive waiters and good food.

My family and I have been coming here my entire life, for almost 50 years. The staff was always very courteous and respectful. Unfortunately, that all ended today. I had friends in from the United States visiting Mexico City for their first time, and brought them here to impress them with the terrace restaurant. They had just arrived from the airport, and still had their backpacks with them. So I asked the gentleman at the front desk, SERGIO DOMINGUEZ, if he would mind holding their backpacks in the lobby while we ate lunch. He said "We are full. It is impossible". I explained to him that we were not looking for a room, but I wanted to buy my guests lunch in their restaurant. He could not have cared less. He was extremely rude, and disrespectful, like he did not want Americans in "his" hotel. I have never felt so disrespected in Mexico before, and now my friends will carry the same feeling with them forever. It is extremely unfortunate that after all these years of excellent service, they have resulted to hiring such arrogant and condecending staff. We will of course NEVER GO BACK, nor will anyone I ever talk too. What a shame.

close to most of trip spots. very kind service. will stay here again *correction: the restaurant at 7th floor is awful. taste bad, , I really didn't want to give them tips but the waiter added 15% of the price as tips when I check the bill. non sense.

Excellent location 30mins taxi to the airport, nice staff but no heat. and no hot shower in winter. I stayed in the hotel Dec 9 to 12,2019. The building is beautiful. Temperature in Mexico City is around 9 degree celcius at night and cold until noon，but it's hot between 1pm and 5pm. There is no heat, no air condition in room, it's really cold at nite. Shower water is not hot enough to have a shower at a cold night. First night around 2am, I was waken up by 2 loud sounds "bang, bang". Then next 2 hours non stop loud sound seemed LRAD. My last night in the hotel, from 11pm to 1am, I can't sleep because of 30 to 40 sharp loud "Bang" sounds from outside.

Very cool place to stay central in an early 1600 building with views that are priceless rooms are comfortable and relaxing and located near everything. Worth checking out !
