Best thing to do when you arrive in SMA. Informative and pleasant. All proceeds go to help children 16 and under with medical and dental care in the surrounding villages. All tour guides are volunteers!

My friends and I took the walking tour of San Miguel with your wonderful guide, Mamie Spiegel. We were thrilled with her presentation, which was both witty and informative . With her obvious love for her subject matter, Mrs. S is a lively and inspiring guide. We really liked the fact that the proceeds go toward providing health care for poor kids in the area and didn't mind a bit being hit up ( in the nicest, low -pressure way) for tip money to provide toothbrushes for the dental program. P.S. to Mamie: I gave you the wrong name for the guy who wrote the account of the horrors of the way the indigenous people were treated by the conquistadores.
