What a great place to stay in the Yucatan. Bears en La Playa is a great retreat from a hectic world. The property is beautiful with a large pool and soothing waterfall. The guest rooms are spacious and very comfortable. There is a great lounge area on the second floor overlooking the Gulf of Mexico and the beach. Rob and Roy are great host and the breakfast is amazing!!

Amazing place right on the beach in Chelem. The roof top deck and the patio facing the ocean were my favorite spots in the house to relax and enjoy the view. The pool was refreshing and right outside the room. Rob and Roy have created an oasis and were the perfect hosts. They offered recommendations for local fare and even included me in the dinner plans a couple times. I really enjoyed getting to know them and the morning conversations over breakfast. Roys breakfast is outstanding, Thanks guys for a great stay.

Rob and Roy are wonderful and incredibly thoughtful hosts and Bears en la Playa is one of the best destinations to get away, hibernate or even act as a home base for your Yucatán exploration adventure. We stayed for a week and the time flew by too quickly. Some of the BEST meals we had in Mexico we’re Roy’s delicious breakfasts. This is the perfect vacation destination for a group of friends. The pool, beach,, hot tub and roof top bar are some of my favorite features of this perfect oasis. We will be back!!!!
