The unit began activities as a peripheral post of the ISSSTE Veracruz General Hospital from 1970 to 1984. On January 16, 1984, it became a Family Medicine Unit, obtaining autonomy from the Veracruz Hospital. On March 25, 1991 it changed its typology to Family Medicine Clinic and is located at the address it currently occupies, it was remodeled in 2010.
