I love the view of the city from the chapel. The church property is also beautifully maintained, making it a lovely walk up to the top. There is a ramp to the top as well, a big bonus for strollers.

It is a place worth visiting, mostly early in the morning when a view of Mexico city can be appreciated. Nice gardens. And for those religious persons, I suggest to offer all the way up stairs. Use of sunblocker and cap, and some coins (for toilets, for example) highly recommended.

The view from atop Tepeyac alone is worth climbing several sets of stairs to get there. But when you learn about what transpired around this hill in 1531, you will find it very difficult to leave. Breathtaking.
