I heartily recommend this familial hostel! Santiago the owner and his amazing family will warmly welcome you in this rare kind of hostel. Santiago gave me a bike for the day! I recommend you to do the same and explore the city :)

I booked 2 nights and stayed 4. Santiago, the owner, is a traveller, he can guide you through Mexico right down to Chile. 5 minute walk from ADO Station, 15-20 minutes downtown. Not a party hostel, but you will meet other like minded travellers to rest, relax, socialise in a peaceful friendly atmosphere. I really enjoyed my stay with Santiago, Sarah and young Elian ( and of course Coco!) I will return 😊

The owners are super friendly people and the waffles in the morning were delicious and worth waking up for, if you're coming to Merida look no further! Also, the mattress was the best one I've had in Mexico

Such a great stay! This was our first hostel on the trip, and it was such a warm home. Miguel is very friendly and willing to help with whatever questions you might have. You can tell he cares about the hostel he is running and everything he does. The breakfast is very nice, with delicious waffle and fresh fruit. 100% recommend.

Absolutely cannot recommend enough. Miguel is the kindest host, so attentive and truly cares about all those who stay in this wonderful home. The place is over a hundred years old with original tile and doors that are stunning. The place is old but really well maintained, I couldn't stop taking photos of the details in the house. The bunk beds are wooden, which makes for a quiet sleep. The mattresses are by far the most comfortable I've experienced in Mexico thus far. A nice breakfast is included of waffles, fresh fruit, coffee and juice. Definitely stay here if visiting Merida.
