Akumal Bay - Beach & Wellness Resort

Beach was amazing, you can snorkel and is very relaxing. Not a lot of shaded area in the beach. Its an all inclusive beach club. Food is not good, drinks are not good either. They have a sushi bar which was the best. Offer towels and the pool is amazing. Not a genuine Mexican experience at all which is sad. The hotel looks great, if you like that type pf experience.

This is a great resort! The snorkeling right out off of the beach is spectacular. The staff is very attentive and they really want to make sure you are having a good time.

I am writing this as I lay in my room @ akumal bay beach & wellness resort. This resort is beautiful! From the grounds, to the rooms, but especially the beach! It is a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The staff is great, kind, and polite. We enjoyed the spa very much, and loved that the town was a very short walk on the beach. The only things keeping my review from 5 stars is the food & service in the restaurants. It is not bad, but after 4 days, I am quite bored. It’s lacking surprise. I understand covid has changed the way the resorts can run, but with so few guests, I am quite surprised how little attention I as a guest have been shown. I shouldn’t have to ask for salad dressing for my salad or remind the wait staff twice what I ordered when there is less then 12 guests in the restaurants with 8+ wait staff members. That being said, we would definitely return, likely without the all inclusive package though!

We absolutely loved our stay at Akumal Bay Beach and Wellness Resort. The resort was beautiful. The staff was amazing and had great customer service. The food was excellent. The rooms were extremely nice and they kept very clean. The staff was quick to provide us with any service request. We plan to return with our family again very soon.

Always a great place to stay and much less expensive than the new Secrets next door. Attentive friendly staff that remembers and welcomes you from the years coming before.
