SaFo Cafe & Dine

This cafe is perfect! Alfonzo is so accommodating and kind! We are vegetarians and he would create unique lunch or breakfast meals for us that weren’t even on the menu. There is WiFi in this place and it’s a comfortable place to work with a nice breeze on a hot day. We will definitely be coming back next time we are in Playa del Carmen.

Tasty food, great prices, and friendly service. They’re even pet friendly! This Cafe is one of my favorite spots for breakfast or lunch. You’ll find them at the corner of 62 and 10th. Everything I’ve ordered has been delicious and the portions are big. If you can only make it once, the pancakes are a must try, Sandra puts a special touch on them. Alfonso and Sandra offer great customer service, their hours are reliable, as is their WiFi. This cafe is a great place to sit down, enjoy a Frappe, Capuchino, or espresso while you send out some emails. After my first visit I have made it a goal to try their entire menu, that’s how good this place is. Worth a stop if you’re visiting Playa Del Carmen.

We have visited Safo both in the afternoon for dine-in and takeout sandwiches and in the morning for breakfast. We are so impressed by the quality of the food, the service level and the prices. The owners, Alfonso and Sandra, have created a wonderful ambiance for all. We highly recommend this new local restaurant and experience.
