Ah Cacao Chocolate Café

Such a cool store. Nice service, fair prices, and good coffee. They have bakery items as well. I recommend this place. They are doing a great job with Covid guidelines.

I had their iced chocolate maya and it was really good. It’s sweet and spicy. I usually can’t handle spicy and wasn’t sure how spicy it would be but it actually wasn’t bad at all and adds that extra flavour. I will go back to try their brownies and ice cream.

Stopped by a few of their locations while on vacation. Food and drink wise they would easily earn a 4 star review but I don't think we ever had an order fulfilled right the first time. They were always quick to fix it if we noticed before we had already left, we didn't notice it before leaving everytime though. Its probably the result of a language barrier. Still worthy of 3 stars even with having to go back and fix our order just about every time. EDIT: Reached out to me about my review. Any company that watches reviews that much deserves another star as they seem to care about how to improve.

Got food poisoning here, but the coffee was good I think the tamales caused it but I can’t be sure. Updated- I got 3 strains of E. coli and norovirus from this cafe. They need to improve their sanitation severely.

Why go to Starbucks when you have Ah Cacao! The preferred place for coffee in playa.
