Playacar Beach

Apart from lots of Sargassum, it’s a nice beach to have a evening walk and watch the full moon rise above the Caribbean Sea. It’s also less crowded compared to the adjacent beach.

Last time I visited 3 weeks ago, we found plenty of sargazo or dried algae in the beaches. It is only SEASONAL and temporary but we couldn't enjoy as much as we wanted. I'd recommend asking your hotels to send an updated picture of the beach to make sure you're going to enjoy your time at any beach. There is no place to rent a spot around.

It's a busy public beach but it's beautiful. No washrooms or vendors for food but good for an afternoon of enjoyment. Couple locals selling beer out of coolers.

Beautiful beach, but no public restrooms. Bring all your own beach chairs and umbrella. No shade, but great beach for swimming.
