It is a very good place to retreat. The Meditation Instructions are aimed at also carrying out individual practice in the same room. It is advisable to take mini-retreats that occur during a longer stay. The provision of the beds seems to me somewhat precarious, it could be simple and with minimal comfort, not sleeping on the floor on a mat. I would recommend preventing the use of cell phones and Wi-Fi, leaving calls only for emergencies from a landline available in the place. I am very grateful for all that I have received from the Dhamma Vihara. Congratulations on all the improvements you have made.

I really liked the monastery and it helped me a lot in my meditative practice and in my learning of Buddhist wisdom, that is, the DHAMMA or doctrine that Shakyamuni Buddha taught. The place is special for retreats since it is located on a very good size plot, in a tropical forest with beautiful vegetation, in a very quiet rural environment, and with very good facilities to receive people to group retreats. I attended a 12 day group retreat, excellent in organization and the teacher was very competent and friendly. The managers and those who work there have an excellent treatment. After that retreat, I stayed 1 more month doing a personal retreat, for which they left us, another colleague and me, a program of activities. In addition to that, the Venerable bhikkhu Nandisena, abbot of the monastery, received each of us 2 days a week separately, to clarify doubts and ask questions, always with a very friendly treatment and available to explain and guide us in any matter that pose. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an environment of peace, tranquility, silence, and spiritual development.

Excellent place

Excellent location for the monastery. An ideal place to go to meditate and reconnect with yourself and the environment that surrounds us, 100% recommended. The facilities are sufficient for the needs that are required. It is a great advantage to have inside the monastery since it is another support for those who arrive.
