National Migration Institute (INM)

They are doing the best they can considering what's going on with Covid-19 right now. I do have one important point to make which is the MAP is wrong as of right now. Google maps hasn't updated the building right now so the picture is of Sonoma business, which is gone now and the Immigration building is there. To further confuse everyone the Google map tag is for the INE building ( Instituto Nacional Electoro) not the INM (National Migration Institute). If you are lost and reading my review while facing the wrong building INE, just turn left and walk straight. After crossing the double road, you can't miss it.

The staff has poor training and they really dont speak english therefore I do not believe they meet the requirements to give a good service, they give the wrong information , making our procedure more difficult than already is. Also their lack of professionalism on their part is outrageous, their attitude is hostile and we feel harassed , I feel they are being racists .

My wife called to get some information about applying for residency and the lady was extremely rude.

This place is open only a few hours per day. If you do not have 100% of your paperwork on hand and 100% complete, they will reject you and you must schedule a new appointment and waste another day of your time. If you do have everything perfect, you will be interviewed for a few seconds and told to come back weeks later to go to your actual appointment to do what you should have been able to do at your first or second appointment. the only reason I gave them a 3 star rating is that the security staff is very nice and very helpful. They even smile when they tell you that you ha e to drive another 300 kilometers and get another hotel room for another day of hell! Seriously, if the staff was as well trained as the security guards, this review would not be needed! Good luck, you have been warned!
