Checked this place out for some coffee and walked out with much more. The staff was extremely friendly, coffee and pastries were SUPERB and I also purchased a baguette and some butter they had possibly made themselves in a jar. Tons of other specialty items or would be perfect for a cake if you’re celebrating something. HIGHLY recommend!
So many good things about this place — the pastries make it what it is! It’s my favorite spot for anything lemon or vegan. Limited seating (especially inside due to COVID). It’s also extremely expensive for Mexico — pretend you’re still in the US or somewhere in Europe and the prices are manageable. Lovely space to work but always busy so staying long isn’t really an option.
I loved everything about this place that made me want to actually experience Tulum as an expat and not just a tourist.
It seemed like a lot of people were regulars and knew Fabrizio, the owner, which added a special touch to it. He took so much of his time to explain everything about his pastry shop and menu as he knew it was our first time.
We tried several things and loved them all!
Bonus point for the bread and croissant because I’m french ;)
I enjoyed the dulce de leche croissant but not as much as the chocolatine and charcoal black croissant and the baguette sandwich.
I heard their almond croissant is to die for but they ran out (that confirmed it!). Wonderful spirulina juice and espresso. And look at this cute/weird mug! ❤️
Best cafe in all of tulum. Only cafe where you get the laid back vibes with delicious food and coffee. Very busy and can be difficult to find a spot and order but that can only be expected for a spot as popping as this. Some of the seating outside is in direct sunlight, my late nan wouldve struggled. God rest her soul.
The food is ok. Desserts are fantastic! But they ruin it with not-so-good coffee and bad service. We asked for a glass of water while having desserts and it took about 30 mins and two more calls for that.
After eating there we got really sick. I recommend getting to-go. The tourists are not so keen to wear masks and I really wonder what the point of making it mandatory. We quickly ate and left just for our own good. Don't bother and just get to-go.
