Hotel Grand Riviera Princess

We stayed here for our anniversary and were a bit caught off guard by the five star rating since we would not consider it to be a five star experience. The room was clean but we only had one sheet on the bed with no other blankets in the room (I think this is common for the region but it still caught me off guard). We also received an early morning phone call every day at about 7am (which felt like 5am our time). We ended up unplugging the phone but on our last morning we were woken up by the fire alarm at 8am with no instruction from the hotel staff. We had to ask someone what to do and they said it was a drill and we could do back to our room...it seemed like a terrible time to run a drill with no instruction to the guests. The food was okay but the restaurants felt like an upscale dining hall. It did not feel romantic, which is what we were hoping for on our anniversary trip. But we did enjoy the beach and the buffet/restaurant/bartender staff were wonderful! Everything also felt very clean and COVID safe, which we appreciated.

The worst resort I have ever been to. Booked a ocean view room with a king. Got there, they put two twin beds and put it together with no ocean in sight. Asked to change the room, they said they have no room available and no bed. Then we go to the restaurants and I’m told I can only order 1 thing at the restaurant even though that is not the case for other all inclusive resorts. It was also expensive and it was a struggle to order drinks here, no workers in sight. When I finally got a chance to order, they never came.

Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were nice, clean and always stocked with large water bottles/soft drinks. Close to some awesome excursions and the drinks were good. Lots of stray cats (however they were all friendly and adorable). Food was ok.. there was at least a large selection. The beach really stunk of seaweed and the water was brown with it so we spent most of our days at the pools.

Stayed here 10 days, pretty much everything closed as far as activities go. Beach was awesome and the staff super friendly. Food very good.

My wife and me where this morning at the hotel and wanted to book 2 platinum rooms at the reception for two weeks cause my dad will arrive here. The Security Guide sent us away and didn't call the reception or bring us there. He was very outrageous to us. That was absolutely embarassing. I never had something like that. I know the prices from this hotel and had to ask a couple of things before. Now we booked our room at "The fives" in the neighboorhood. I Hope the manager will read this and see, that he loses a lot of money and good clients because of a stupid security guard...thats really aweful
