I came with a severe infection, fractured molar, diseased gums, a million cavities, bad fillers, nerve tingling all over my right side, bleeding gums... my mouth was in such bad shape, I was getting sick every month (most likely from the infection and everything that was going on). I sat down in the chair in tears. I saw two dentists here in Playa del Carmen and one in Cancun and I was on 5 rounds of antibiotics and they did 6 (yes, 6) treatments on a fractured molar where it got even more fractured. I was in excruciating pain. I researched this clinic and all the doctors here. Even though they have great reviews, I hope anyone that can read this will appreciate the traumas I have been through and how sick I was feeling. Dr Esteban calmly explained what was going on and decided to go on this journey of healing, I knew I lost my molar and it needed to be extracted. I had a panic attack just before, he got a blanket for me and he was so gentle and calm and put me at ease. Molar was extracted, which followed 2 weeks of pain, infection and more antibiotics, I really thought I would never feel great ever again. But I did. After two weeks of no eating, I needed more work done... in a matter of a month, I had a tooth extraction, bone grafting, cleaning, one endodontic procedure, fillers... I wanted to wait a little before I wrote this review because today, I am smiling, I have zero pain, my gums are healthy again, I can smile and I am just so blessed and grateful for you guys! I look forward to continuing my journey (I want to get braces, fix more cavities, get an implant) and I finally feel I am in great hands. I can’t recommend you enough, thank you, thank you, thank you!

I would recommend only going if you are sure your procedure will not have any complications! I was initially impressed with the office, but unfortunately the dental work myself and my husband had done ended up costing us more money to be fixed at home. They do offer a guarantee on their work for up to 5 years but when you are in pain you may not have the time to wait to book another trip there. I had a crown done with this office and less than 6 months later ended up having to get a root canal at our home in Seattle due to the crown failure. My husband had a root canal done by this office and had to get it redone in Seattle when the X-rays here showed the root canal was only partly done and their was a part of a file that had broken off during the root canal and this office had left in his mouth, causing infection. I reached out to let them know and while they are willing to look it over if we fly back to their office, due to COVID, travel isn't safe. I hoped they would make an exception and offer us at least a partial refund. I would recommend just paying the extra to have work done at an office close to home that can help you under any circumstance. The fact that they left a piece of their instrument in my husbands mouth and will not reimburse us is unacceptable. While we did save money at first going here. We ended up spending $4700 at home to fix what we had hoped was done properly at this office.

Bokanova is awesome . I had a crown put in effortlessly for the price that was fantastic and today I had a veneer done for my front chipped tooth. These guys are amazing. You got to love this office and playa Del Carmen dentistry. The money I saved on the work vs the US paid my entire trip! I’ve had dentists in both NYC, LA, and SF; and these guys win, both in the unsurpassed quality and cost ! Wow. Brian C
