El Rincon Chiapaneco

We quickly popped in here for a bite before Hurricane Zeta hit on Oct 26. The service was quick, the food was great! This place does not serve any alcohol, take note! It's also open to the side street so it can be a little noisy but not too bad. The dining area is covered so you're in the shade and out of the elements too.

We stumbled upon this place out of the blue looking for a place where the locals eat, and we found it. After coming here, we saw a few street vendors also dine here. The service is quick and efficient — and mega cost effective. We had a full meal with drinks for two and paid 120 pesos (5 USD) and potion sizes were more than enough. They have all mine from vegetarian to meat lovers. Please note they only take pesos, the menu is in Spanish and you seat yourself. The restaurant is located on a side street so if your looking for hype, intimate, not local — this isn’t the place for you.

Great authentic Mexican food. Great prices. Would definitely return.

Food here is Mexican traditional, not the core food from Chiapas though, but the tipical food you can find across the country with its touch of southeast ingredients. The price is good and flavor is really nice. I highly recommend this place for local food.
