Cenotes Sac Actún

Of all of the Cenotes we’ve visited so far, this is by far the best. It’s beautiful, the tour was extensive, and our guide Isaiah was exceptional! Can’t say enough how much this was worth the time to drive from Playa. If you can only visit one Cenote, make sure to put this at the top of your list!

Great experience! We were the only ones there so we had our own private tour. No need to use a wetsuit, the water is cold but not freezing so it’s really bearable. It was pretty big and wonderful to see all the stalactites and wander in the dark and complete silence. We had fun and good conversations with our guide (I forgot his name oops) so this made up for the time we had to wait before he finally decided to take us (they were just all hanging there taking their time and made us wait a good 20/30 min so that wasn’t a great start, especially because it isn’t cheap!

DO NOT GO HERE. While me and my partner went into the cave with the tour guide, we had to leave our car keys with the other guides so they wouldn't get ruined. Turns out that while we were inside the cenote, they stole my wallet from inside the car with cash, driver's license, and multiple credit cards. Then they went to a restaurant called Pina House, which already has 1.4 stars in reviews and multiple theft and blackmail reviews, to charge my cards for $5000 each. Although the pictures and reviews might be good for this cenote, please be mindful and take care of your belongings.

Absolutely one of the coolest experiences I've had. Amazing guides with a lot of knowledge and very good English. So beautiful.

Amazing experience! We weren't sure what to expect but the tour guide Mauricio was warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and took us through one of the most amazing experiences of our lives! We're bringing a group back next year.
