Hotel Eloisa

Though it is certainly not a 5-star hotel based on amenities and the rooms, it is a "5-star hotel" in its category. The rooms are comfortable as are beds and shower, the location is unbeatable, right by Lazaro Cardenas park in Old Vallarta, close to it all. It's not located on the beach, but is some 100 yards from Los Muertos Beach. The service you get there is good too. I can certainly recommend it for anyone that wants a no-frills hotel from where to explore town. Right around the corner (40 yards total, left and left going out of the hotel) there is a great taco place, ask for 4 tacos al pastor with a Modelo beer and you are in heaven (for no money at all!).

VERY clean and VERY quiet place to set one's head for a few nights. Many rooms, including mine, have no view, aside from the multi-story courtyard. And inexplicably, they lock the rooftop pool after like 9pm, so you can't lounge in your own hotel at night. A bit strange, I find, but it does promote a non-party atmosphere, which helps keep it quiet.

Fantastic location. Had to move room because the water drains smelt horrible like sewage horrible the staff said they fixed it so we stay in the room another night. It was not fixed blah, so we moved rooms and the new room was better at least. Left my shirt at the pool at closing time and it was not there in the morning. I asked the bell boy with the goatee that closed the pool the night before about it and he acknowledged he grabbed it but did not bother to stop sweeping to get it for me, so I said “ill just get it later?” and he half smiled and nodded his head. I seen him multiple times for the next few days and he would just ignore or half smile and walk away. IMO Seems like the staff are not very happy at the hotel overall maybe the management should look after them better. The rooms are pretty clean overall and the location is fantastic. once all the construction is done it should be nicer, I would try it again after the renovations.

Right on the square where there is often live entertainment. The staff was lovely! Prices very reasonable. Breakfast on the roof-Spectacular!!! Well maintained pools. Comfortable, clean rooms. Easy walking to beach and shopping! Easy access to transit for site-seeing. Excellent nearby food.

Clean, friendly, 1 block from beach, roof top pool, very close to pharmacy, restaurants and shopping. It's equal to a motel 6. We'd stay here again, no problem.
