. It represents the monument to the Mexican Revolution. This monument was originally devised in a classical style of the French Renaissance, by the architect Emile Bernard, to serve as an enclosure for the Legislative Palace during the Porfirian era. Construction began on September 23, 1910 and in 1912 the structure was abandoned, leaving only the dome firm. In 1932, the architect Carlos Obregón Santacilia proposed to the government to take advantage of the structure to build a Monument to the Revolution, which was approved, thus starting a sketch, projects, designs, so the construction was continued, until it was finished in 1938. The original structure of the dome was used, in whose upper part (63 meters), the four sculptural groups that represent: Independence, the Reform Laws, the Workers' Laws and the Agrarian Laws, made by the sculptor Oliverio Martínez were accommodated. The work is made of Chiluca stone. Subsequently, the remains of Venustiano Carranza, Francisco I. Madero, Plutarco E. Calles and Lázaro Cárdenas were deposited in bronze urns. It has a connection with other means of transport such as the Metrobús Line 1 of the Metrobús, Revolución station, located in Puente de Alvarado and Avenida Insurgentes Norte. Metrobús line 4, Puente de Alvarado station, located on Puente de Alvarado avenue and Ponciano Arriaga street.
