Ficelle Boulangerie Patisserie

Super cute little patisserie with the loveliest French pastries! The pear and chocolate tart is divine!

Walked in really excited to try their patisserie, they have extensive menu of it and everything looks really good. I had big expectations because of all the positive comments here plus all the advertisements in different magazines. Decided to go for croissants (butter and almond), chocolate choux, framboise eclair and baguette; the first two were disappointing for a “french” patisserie, the almond one was extremely sweet and with a weird consistency in the inside (mushy) while the butter one needed more butter although the texture was better. The framboise eclair just had some full fruits in the inside (no framboise cream or coulis) so basically didn’t taste a lot like the fruit they promised. The choux was ok but the cream they use is mñha, nothing really special that makes me want to come back and try the rest because it’s basically the same cream they use in their eclair (most likely is the one they use in all of them) plus the coffee/hazelnuts cream had lumps. On the other hand the baguette is nicely done, crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the inside with a really balanced flavour and honestly I would only recommend this product. Also their staff is really friendly and helpful. The place looks really decent and clean.

Bread is sold from past days. It is not tasty, consistency is not as expected from French Boulangerie
