Instituto de Excelencia Educativa

The Institute of Educational Excellence was founded in Jalpan de Serra, Qro., In 2001 by a group of citizens and professors headed by Abel Montero, who shortly before had legally constituted the private assistance institution Boys and Girls of the Sierra, without ends profit. The history of the school began with a single classroom and a small group of 22 6-year-old students with limited financial resources, which grew year by year until 2013 with 9 classrooms and almost 300 students at preschool levels , primary, secondary and high school -this last in alliance with Tec de Monterrey. From the beginning this small school was visualized as the seed of the University of the Sierra.
