Was smaller than we thought it was going to be, but still had a large selection. The staff was very friendly, asked if we wanted to converse in English or Spanish and even put up with our less than stellar Spanish graciously. The purveyor was knowledgeable and let us taste a number of different mezcals after getting an idea of what we were looking for.

Whether you've never tried good mezcal or you're an aficionado, this place will warm your heart. I felt like I was back in Oaxaca. Omar is truly passionate not just about good mezcal, but about the artisans and family's who have producing these traditional spirits for generations. His knowledge is extensive, the prices are fair and his English is excellent. I would recommend MisMezcales to literally anyone.

If you're looking to buy a bottle (or a few) of fine mezcal you could do no better. You can get tastes of what is available, the owner has great English as well as having a deep understanding of the different plants, soil conditions, distilling processes, and even the families that make the mezcal.
