It is a Catholic church, located in the historic center of the municipal seat of Jamay, Jalisco, Mexico. It is a medium-capacity religious center where tranquility predominates due to its peaceful environment, the light colors it possesses as well as the faith of the faithful who come to this place. As a historical complement, regarding the church and Jamay, we can say that its first patron saint was Santa María Magdalena, who still preserves her church in the old fishermen's neighborhood, since this saint was also the patron saint and protector of the fishermen . According to history, they received the gift of the Virgin of the Rosary that arrived in Mexico along with two other identical images that were assigned to the parish of Zapotlanejo, Jalisco and the third to Poncitlán also in the same state.
