Thieving Despots. Zero Stars. Horrible horrible communication. One day my grandfather, which was suffering from kidney failure arrived with pain in his abdomen. They sent him home saying he should be fine. They tested his antibodies for covid and he was negative on both. A week later he goes back to the hospital on a Tuesday night with pain, without any test results they categorized him as a covid patient. In pain in the lobby they would not attend to him unless 20 thousand in US dollars was paid in full. All this at 8-10pm. My grandfather would try paying with his credit cards but the hospital kept saying the cards were denied. After reviewing the summary, there is two credit card payments of over 5k pesos that they robbed. Even after some of us are there by 1am with 8.5k dollars, they still would not see him. We miraculously came up with the money and paid at 5am Wednesday. The whole time before we were pleading with them to please help him and that they would be paid in the morning. They didn’t care and kept asking how far the money was and in how long it would arrive. After we paid at 5am, they still did not attend him until 8:30am. 3 HOURS later. Never once would they give us information. The doctors are most likely controlled by the thieving administration because they were difficult to get on the phone. Surprisingly a family member got a doctor on the phone and the doctor said my grandfather had an oxygen mask since he got admitted, which was totally false because we would FaceTime him and he had nothing but a simple mask. Wednesday, Thursday, Friday we have communication with my grandfather because of his phone, not because of the hospital. Saturday the communication stopped. We are in the dark. Monday morning for the first time a doctor communicated was to tell us he had passed away. My grandfather died of renal failure and these people had the balls to put covid on his death certificate, robbing us of an open casket viewing. We are very sure it wasn’t covid, he had no covid symptoms, everyone that cared for him 2 weeks prior all tested negative. The day he passed, you would expect them to let us grieve and be helpful. NO! .. they had us waiting for everything with no logical explanation. They would nit give us any paperwork, did not want to give us his belongings, and they’re blood boiled when they had to give us the 600 dollars that were left over from the 20k dollars. I know it because it took them all day Monday and we had nothing. Until Tuesday. How ridiculous. We left my grandfather a suitcase with his personal hygiene things and clothes, underwear, socks. It was all the same as we packed it. Not
We got excel insurance. Did visit Tijuana twice already.Staff very pleasant, laboratory staff super professional ( found my vein by first attempt). Our doctor spent for us as much time as we need and with professional and warm attitude! We love the hospital and insurance plan!!
I came to Hospital Excel in great pain. I received immediate attention and care from the receptionist, nurses, lab techs, nutritionists and doctors. They gave me prompt and quick service and explained every detail of the diagnostic and treatment. They prepared special food to follow up my very strict healthy diet. I am so grateful. Thank You 🙏
Excel hospital is the most impressive and professional hospitals I have ever seen or been in. The staff and the doctors are wonderful. I feel so lucky to have found Dr. Jose Hernandez and Excel hospital. I highly recommend this hospital without reservation. Thank you for giving me my life back.
