The staff, nurses, the anesthesiologist, and my surgeon (Dr Osuna) were wonderful! Sadly, I do not speak Spanish but all but one nurse spoke enough English that we had no issues communicating and even the one nurse was so attentive in working with me through phone apps so we could use translators to understand one another. I'm grateful so many make that a priority for people like me. The only reason this lacks a 5th star was cleanliness. The surgery floor was immaculant. By no means was I worried about infection at any point during my stay. My patient room? Not as clean. I hear I was in the unremodeled part of the clinic. I think I was in room 204. It was pretty outdated which is ok but I had a dirty shower with a random screw in it my whole stay--i didn't shower there. I showered back at my hotel the last day. My surgery drain was leaking on my bed sheets and it was left bloody for my whole stay as well and things didn't get restocked like the paper towels in my bathroom.

Night staff couldn't understand English, also couldn't fix any issues with an iv, tried to scrape the iv tubes with a needle to clear out the blood that backed up in the tubes. Then wanted to reuse it. There was blood on my sheets, and it wasn't mine. My wife had her gall bladder removed and it remained in the room in a bottle the entire visit. Blood on the floor. Shower was dirty and never cleaned the room. Horrible experience. You have to yell for a nurse . It was a terrible experience. Would not recommend. Avoid at all cost. Our surgeon was great. The hospital is dangerous

I had my bariatric surgery there and it was one of the most painless and easiest surgery. Guaranteed the rooms are a bit outdated, minimal English skills is expected because this is MEXICO.

Mi Doctor Hospital is a TOP NOTCH facility. Dr. Elias Ortiz a fantastic surgeon and his staff provides exceptional care for his patients. I would recommend A Lighter Me, the medical tourism company that coordinates patient services. Truly, do not let the low cost steer you away, you will be well cared for before, during and after your surgery here.
