Casa Marlene

This boutique hotel was one of the highlights of our trip. Breakfast every morning was the best we had in all of the Yucatan. Best mole ever. The hotel itself was unique and close to everything in town. The grounds were well landscaped and the pool was perfect (although I wish the jacuzzi was warm). The staff were beyond accommodating to our young family, which made our stay very comfortable.

Nicely appointed rooms in a colonial family home which was converted for the purpose. Fine service and excellent breakfast with a daily changing dish. The family and the staff that run it couldn't be more helpful and attentive. The pool in the garden is wonderfully refreshing. We stayed with young kids sharing a room as a family and this worked very well. We felt valued and welcome as guests. Moreover, this hotel has a central location at a stone's throw away from the main plaza of Valladolid. You can generally walk everywhere in the centre. Heartily recommended.

I cannot wait to go back to Casa Marlene! From the incredibly friendly and helpful staff, to the gorgeous grounds, to a breakfast I'll taste again in my dreams (you HAVE to try their homemade coffee!)...everything about this place is phenomenal. It's in a fantastic location, has secure parking close by, and has modern amenities in a beautiful old home. It was a little plot of heaven, and I look forward to the day I can visit again.

Loved it. Especially room Don Luis. The garden is so nice and an oasis. Very close to Center and Cenote Zaci. Breakfast on the terrace is a la carte and prepared with love.

Cannot fault this hotel AT ALL. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed as if it was our home. Staff was very friendly and helped us with everything (even a broke tyre on our car !) Rooms are super comfortable, breakfast excellent and the pool a delight.
