Dr. María Candelaria May Novelo. Director of the Esc. Prim. Est. No. 305 "Ignacio Allende" CCT 31EPR0179A Zone 091 SE08 Academic of Unit 31-A of the University National Pedagogical University of Valladolid. State Primary School No. 305 "Ignacio Allende" of the Mayan community of Dzitnup, Valladolid, belonging to the system of general primaries and state support; has the conviction to contribute to the cultural and identity strengthening of the Mayan girls and boys who study in it. Our improvement plan, unlike other schools, is based on 8 transversal axes decided to strengthen it: Mayan Culture and Ethnic Identity, Human Rights, Interculturality, Human Development, Environmental Education, Collaborative Work under the "Muuch Meyaj" principle, Culture of Peace, and Freinet Pedagogy; elements that cross the teaching practice. Since 2012, we have been promoting the use of the hipil, using it on Mondays in the homage and in all important or special activities with which we reinvindicate our Mayan identity in the public school. Same as we specify through various strategies that maintain an agile dynamic in our processes, we are an open-door school, we receive many visits and we have a wide network of collaboration with various national and foreign universities, with research institutes, with organizations of civil society and with academics, researchers and writers, which strengthens our work. On the other hand, the labor interactions among the staff members of this school are defined by collaboration, dialogue dialogue (one that allows an authentic understanding of the other and that favors mutual communication), the assumption of responsibilities, work as a team, the universal values, the sense of belonging, based on a horizontal relationship that favors teachers and principals to be at the same level of participation and importance, that same horizontal relationship is implemented by the school's management with students and the parents. We are far from the problems of domestic nature (conflicts arising from the resistance to fulfill responsibilities or origin of issues far from the work) that in many schools occupy space and lacerate the educational processes that take place there, we have been able to count on the support of school supervision, the team has a high sense of belonging and commitment to the project that unites us, we build work from differentiated experiences, aspects that are conditions that have allowed the positive germination of our results. Within the dynamics built around work in the school center, social and academic expectations that the staff wants to favor in the students and their parents and without affecting their belonging to their cultural group, but above all, occupy an important place. , its strengthening of belonging to the Mayan people. Among all, and thanks to the coincidence that life has allowed us "... so many centuries, so many worlds, so much space ... and coinciding" has allowed us to build teaching practices and directives more human and with cultural and linguistic relevance, and in that way we have dignified our work and our Mayan children from the community of Dzitnup and we are supporting the Mayan culture by giving it presence and space for its strengthening from the public school of a general system as well as we are building strengthening the ethnic identity of our students with the expectation that they position themselves with the assurance of their worth in this world of hectic times that they have to live but in which, without a doubt, their strength from the acceptance of their origin in a millennial town will allow them to walk better. We invite you to visit us and to verify what I mention ... I recommend the school in my charge so that your children can attend primary school.
