Kikil is 6 km from the headwaters of Tizimin. The name of this population comes from Kik: rubber plant; Ik, suffix of genitive, that is "Of the rubber" Kikil was formed by people of cacicazgos of the cúpules in a year of much drought and they came to populate Kikil. The church is dedicated to San Francisco, it is located in the center of town, it consists of church, sacristy, atrium, former convent, a small chapel and its orchard. The former convent consists of nine pieces, a portal, a corridor and a small chapel.
