Hotel Montejo

Absolutely love the staff. Everyone is caring from the receptionist to the waiter. If you are an American they will help you. They will be kind to you & understanding. I highly recommend this hotel in Merida because of the staff alone amazing, amazing people 10 Stars

Dirty. The place is really pretty on the outside but once you step into the room, the vibe changes. Really outdated and not welcoming. Not even worth 3 stars. Don’t stay here, I couldn’t stand being 10 minutes in the room. The mattress were brown and there was hair everywhere. So gross.

Little nice hotel in downtown of Merida with old house casona feeling. Is nicely located near Chaya maya (best restaurant in town) and a few blocks from the city center. The pool has the perfect temperature to refresh in the hard weather. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Price is fair.

This for the restaurant. Looked like evething was from the day before. But, the bottled water at least quenching.

Very nice hotel with a poor staff We arrived on a sunday and parked in front of the hotel and asked the entrance clerk if it was ok to leave the car there. He told us so. Later in the evening we were having a doubt so we asked again. He told us again that it was ok because it was sunday. No more information. We had to press to know that on the monday parking was not allowed and that we would need to move the car at 7am. No more information. We had to pressure him to know that the hotel had a deal with a car park nearby. We had again to ask were it was. He told us it was behind the hotel... I had to force him to tell us in which street. Of course the entrance was not behind the hotel, but on a side street. Next morning 7am we pass the desk and asked if there was anything to do with the parking, how do they know we are at the montejo hotel ? The woman at the desk told us that there was no formalities... ok so we drove the car to the parking lot and there of course they asked us for a paper from the hotel. Back to the hotel to get the paper and back to the carpark. No one at the hotel bothered to give us clear answer, nor to tell us we could come and go from the carpark any number of time for the same price. Terrible service. The room was nice, though you rent a room for three and only get two towels, too micro bottles of water, no bathroom carpet and a very noisy aircon. The swimming pool is nice though tiny.
