Catalonia Yucatán Beach

Outdated hotel . Room was missing amenities promised when we booked. There is no 24 hour room service. The room smelled moldy and unclean. Our towels smelled moldy. The service from the staff is the only thing I would say is decent. The beach area is the worst I have ever seen.

Everything about this resort was good, the beach isn't what we expected but that was the only thing that was disappointing. Staff all super friendly, bartender Oscar made us laugh and is super nice and knows how to make great drinks. Rooms are nice and food was amazing. I would recommend this resort, there are plenty of pools and bars and restaurants.

The resort is well planned and organized. There are many activities to keep busy throughout the day and the evening entertainment is awesome. Staff is also very courteous. Restaurants have great food and choice. However, the beach is nothing to brag about. There are more rocks and less sand and it's not at all picturesque. Inspite of the resort being almost full, there was construction going on throughout our week long stay, which was not ideal for any vacation. The staff moved us to another room when we complained. The resort is for families and yet there are no designated smoking areas. Everywhere we went we had to inhale passive cigarette smoke, which was most annoying.

Beautiful place. Staff is amazing. We loved our stay. Wish I had some photos to share with this on my phone. Ugh.

Our family had a great vacation here last week. Well designed. Service was friendly and timely, food was good, air conditioning worked well in room. Credit to the entertainment staff, they made it extra fun for the kids and gave us parents some laughs. Check in was cumbersome and the pillows were a bit thick/stiff for me.
