Very bad service. I was scammed. I asked for a piña colada with alcohol and they brought it without alcohol. Then the waiter tried and he agreed that it didn't have alcohol, but the bar tender said that if I wanted "more" alcohol they would have to charge me. Then the waiter said that he would fix it so I souldn't worry. In the end of the night they charged me the piña colada and the extra shot of rum. Shameful.

Difficult entrance/exit and drink ordering systrems for a non-natives. But a fun Sunday drag show, cute clientele, forgiving staff. More community than cruisy but glad I visited.

Omg !!! The worst ever. It’s like a gay club in Peru at the 90s. We left 5 minutes in. The carpets smell was awful. And why would u put wall to wall carpet ???? Very few people and sad energy. For a big City I would expect more.

It is an eye opening experience, to treat visitors, consumers and tourists on behalf of the service personnel, especially the waiters, as if they were "doing you a tremendous favor" to help you spend your money. How ironic to feel the arrogance on the part of a waiter (as a traveler in Mexico you learn to expect that kind of narcissistic attitude from managers and owners but rarely from the wait staff). In part, I do not judge the waiter so much, but rather the management that does not pay attention to the QUALITY of customer service and attention to customer relations, lest they forget that social media exists. (I also allot some blame to residents of Merida, who are willing to endure disrespectful treatment just so that they can allowed to be seen or socialize, in what is considered a high-end club located in a prosperous section of the city). As a traveler who has been in great Gay Clubs located in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Guadalajara, CDMX, Costa Rica one realizes that those establishments are successful because of their dedication to offering a special and respectful treatment to a gay community that is often mistreated in everyday society. To endure such maltreatment in a gay club is beyond the pale. Especially in San Francisco it is a social norm that an exclusive or hole-in-the-wall dive bar is an oasis of acceptance and dignified treatment. The managers and owners of the Blue Gay Club would do themselves a lot of good to travel out and visit such fine establishments, so that they could then educate and train their service team in exemplary customer service. At Blue Gay Club the people in need of training are the bouncers, the entrance cashier, the security team and most importantly the waiters, who are the ones that have more interaction with the club's clientele. In a city as beautiful and respectful as Merida, you should not expect less. ** A very important suggestion for the traveler or tourist who decides to visit this establishment: At the time of requesting the drink tab or bill, make sure to demand to see the details of the charges because there are some waiters who only want to give you a verbal total without paper evidence or ticket. Our interesting waiter with his "exemplary" manners (belonging to those of a loan shark) told us" that the sum of our bill was $ 850 pesos without showing us the note. In reality it should have been considerably less. But as it is the strict policy of the establishment that your waiter gives you an "exit ticket"to leave the club and to avoid aggressions by security personnel, I paid it. It was not worth arguing or discussing with a worker who feels that he is more important than you, as a client. It was also not worth it ruining my night or visit to this gorgeous city. I repeat, this is a very interesting concept for a Gay Club, in a prosperous neighborhood in Merida, to make your customers experience hostility or rudeness, just to experience exclusivity. (Thank goodness social media exists, for a good social cause.)

No good experience. The place is old and not maintained. Waiter with bad attitude. The show very poor and the karaoke intro is annoying. I will never back again but it is good to see it once in a while
