Small little town where everything is walking distance. Es Un pueblito. Away from all the tourism. Laid-back, relaxing and the beach is beautiful and Not crowded! The locals are very helpful and friendly. Everything is family owned pretty much. Would love to go back.

It is a cheap place to do snorkeling. Unfortunately the coral reef is kind of dying, colorless and there is a lot of broken pieces in the bottom because the people it's not careful enough while snorkeling. Guides promess you'll se a ton of marine creatures from hundred of species. Sadly, it is not true because life is not as sustainable as it used to be cause the deterioration of the coral reef coming from tourism activities. If you plan on visiting and doing snorkeling, be very careful with marine life. The activity requires physical strength due to the waves that push it backwards. If you get tired, stand on your back with your feet always up and fins out of the water in order to avoid damaging the coral.

Lower key than playa del Carmen, Cancún or Tulum. But the beaches are just as pretty and it has a laid back island vibe.
